Overview

NexGen is looking to add an Assistant Manager, Project Controls to their growing team.

Qualifications

Who we want… (Requirements)

  • Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university in accounting, mathematics, construction management, finance, or related degree and/or four (4) years of related experience. Experience in Earned Value Management is preferred. Experience in construction or engineering is preferred.
  • The candidate must possess advanced computer skills, including the ability to utilize Microsoft Word, Excel, and e-mail. Experience with Textura, CMiC, and/or Procore required. The ideal candidate should also possess exceptional communication skills, unwavering attention to detail, and high analytical skills.

What we expect… (Essential Functions)

 

  • Develops the project cost work breakdown structure and budget from the project estimate and ensure the job cost setup process is completed.
  • Supports forecast baselining and tracking trends in expenses compared to the plan.
  • Prepares commitment requisitions.
  • Prepares commitment change orders and support the commitment change order process.
  • Prepares customer change requests and support the customer change order process.
  • Manages the subcontract and vendor invoice process and review.
  • Manages customer contract billings.
  • Performs ad-hoc analysis relative to forecasting and cost projections as required.
  • Manages project forecasts, time phase forecasts, change order logs, and risk registers.
  • Manages monthly red files, progress analysis/schedules, billings, and status reports.
  • Responsible for maintaining the project risk register.
  • Participates in bid analysis and risk evaluations.
  • Collaborates with the scheduling team for project time phase forecast adjustments.
  • Performs project job cost close-out process.
  • Provide support for job cost audits and project-specific cost reporting requirements.
  • Communicate effectively with customers, direct consultants, and subcontractors on the project(s).
  • When applicable, supports the project earned value management process.
  • When applicable, supports the project cost segregation for asset depreciation requirements.
  • When applicable, support tax incentive reporting and aggregate supporting documentation.
  • Other duties may be assigned.

Generally, normal office environment where noise level is moderate, and temperature/humidity is controlled. Overtime may be required.

 

Supervisory Responsibilities

This position has no supervisory responsibilities.
